82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army has been in existence since 1917. Due to its members originating from across the nation, those in the 82nd were referred to as the "All Americans".

World War 1[]
The 82nd Division is founded on 5 August 1917 as an infantry division to participate WW1. It is activated on 20 days later in Camp Gordon, Georgia. The division consists of new conscripts and the famous nickname "All Americans" came from a contest by Atlanta. The nickname reflect the unit's composition from all 48 states in the United States of America. The division is composed of 2 brigade with one infantry and other artillery.
